Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on the Chequr website, why we use them, and how you can control them.
Want to update your choices?
1. Overview
Chequr, Inc. (“Chequr,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on chequr.com and across our product to deliver a secure, functional, and useful experience.
This Cookie Policy explains what these technologies are, which ones we use, why, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle personal data more broadly.
Where the law requires (for example under the EU ePrivacy Directive, GDPR, CCPA, or similar frameworks), we request your consent before setting non-essential cookies through the cookie banner presented on your first visit.
3. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for a handful of distinct purposes:
- Operate the site: authenticate users, secure sessions, load-balance traffic, and remember form progress.
- Understand usage: measure which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and how features perform — in aggregate, so we can improve the product.
- Personalize content: remember choices you've made (theme, region) so the site adapts to you on repeat visits.
- Marketing and measurement: understand which campaigns drive awareness and help return visitors see relevant content.
We do not sell personal data collected through cookies. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles outside the narrow measurement purposes described below.
4. Types of Cookies We Use

5. Third-Party Cookies
Some of the cookies set through our site come from carefully vetted third-party services we use to run our business. These partners set cookies under their own privacy and cookie policies.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregated site usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy
- PostHog — product analytics and feature usage (self-hosted in our EU region for EU visitors).
- LinkedIn Insight Tag — conversion measurement for B2B campaigns.
- Meta Pixel — conversion measurement for social campaigns (only loaded when Marketing consent is granted).
- Cloudflare — security, bot protection, and load balancing.
A complete, up-to-date list of sub-processors and third-party services is maintained at the Privacy Policy sharing section.
6. Cookie Retention
Session cookies are cleared as soon as you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for the duration listed in the category cards above, unless you delete them earlier via your browser or via our cookie banner.
Your consent selections themselves are stored in your browser's local storage under the key chequr-cookie-consent so the banner doesn't reappear on every visit. Clearing your browser storage will reset your choices and the banner will be shown again.
7. Managing Your Preferences
You have several ways to control cookies on our site:
- Use our cookie banner. Click the “Manage preferences” button at the top of this page to re-open the banner and adjust your choices at any time.
- Use your browser. All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies — see section 8 for details.
- Opt out of specific partners. Google, Meta, and LinkedIn offer their own opt-out mechanisms if you want to disable their cookies across the web, not just on Chequr.
Update your cookie preferences
Re-open the cookie banner to accept, reject, or customize categories at any time.
8. Browser Controls
Most browsers let you refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you when cookies are being set. The steps depend on the browser you use:
Note that disabling essential cookies may break parts of the site — you may not be able to log in, complete forms, or use interactive features.
9. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry-standard on how to respond to DNT, we currently do not act on these signals. We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where legally required, treating it as an opt-out of analytics and marketing cookies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and — where required — prompt you to re-confirm your consent through the cookie banner.
We encourage you to visit this page periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
